Telescopium is one of typical tropical mollusks lived in mangrove swamps in Southeast Asia. We have been considered the genus Telescopium is represented by a species T. telescopium, but Butot (1954) established another species T. mauritsi for the form which has partly eroded shell at the apertural side with expanded body whorl. Of Telescopium, we observed the mode of life and environmental conditions which they live, and measured the dimensions such as H, P and B (Fig. 2) in the NINAYA Survey for about 20 years in Southeast Asia. On the basis of the statistical analysis, we concluded that the genus Telescopium consists of a species, T. telescopium. Statistical data are shown in Tables 1-3.
